Corkcicle Campaign

Background

During my internship with Power Digital, I worked on a Black Friday/Cyber Monday promotion for the client Corkcicle. This client was looking for a creative solution for marketing their products during the holiday season. I worked specifically within the Paid Social department and focused on developing ads in the retargeting stage of the marketing funnel.

The challenge

Create a Black Friday limited time offer/ promotion on social media

  • Meet with the Corkcicle’s team to understand their brand image/ goals

  • Contribute content from the department you are interning with

  • Present the final campaign to a panel of Power Digital & Corkcicle employees

Our team met weekly to brainstorm ideas, come up with a big idea, and understand what each member was going to contribute to the final product. This was an opportunity for interns from each department to apply the skills they had been acquiring throughout the semester to practical use for a client. After some deliberation, we narrowed down the big idea we wanted to create our campaign with.

The process

We wanted our customers to see Corkcicle as the water bottle that fits into all aspects of daily life. We emphasized the versatility of Corkcicle products and their ability to fit right in with life’s chaos. We created a limited time holiday offer that featured:

  • 30% off our holiday bundle deal (any Coffee Mug, Cold Cup, & Classic Stemless Wine Cup)

  • 20% off all products site-wide

  • Promotions that would launch 11/24 & 11/27

Creative & Media Rationale

  • Big & bold text with limited copy (emphasis on visuals)

  • Utilizing the colors red & green based on the data from previous years’ campaigns

  • Creating posts to increase engagement & site traffic

  • Copy focusing on the limited time availability of the deal
